On Friday, before going to work, I put on the good suit and went to a meeting of the Philadelphia Bar Association's International Law Committee.
It was cool! But rather intimidating. I was the only law student; everyone else (except for the speaker) were practicing lawyers.
But I got to learn about the International Visitor's Council of Philadelphia, including the upcoming First Wednesday.

Oops... had I not told you about them?
I'll see you on Wednesday. Dress there can be as formal as you like, and I probably can't stop you from wearing a suit - a lot of the business/law type members and guests show up straight from work.
But I always find that putting the nametag on a blazer, or under the jacket, are equally unsatisfactory. So I'll be sans tie, sans jacket, sans everything. That sounds like a paraphrase of something.
Anyhow: at the Warwick; contact Alan Hatfield at alan.hatfield@phila.
or 215.683.0992; starts around 5:30, technically ends at 7:30 but really it's when the last two people have left; always free for members, and for one guest of theirs for the guest's first time.
There's always free food, and the cash bar's reasonable. But try not to spill something on a senior partner at one of Philadelphia's big law firms; there's a number of them on the Board (includes members of Ballard Spahr, Dilworth Paxson, Blank Rome, Saul Ewing, and Fish & Richardson).
Thanks Eh!
I'll be there: if the tailor's work is done on time tomorrow, I'll be in a suit. Otherwise the navy blazer will get a workout, or even, gasp, just a white shirt and shiny tie. Shiny neckware, however, is a necessity.
And, so long as you're not sans coulottes being sans everything else sounds fine as well.
