Sample Story:
We have a translator and a ASL (sign language) person in our class. Today my teacher was doing the roll and he calls out, "Is (deaf girl's name) here?" Then he waits a minute and goes, "Oh she's deaf." And then he calls her name again.

Ah, reminds me of the few brick and mortar classes I took at CCAC. Where one of the masses had this to say in my "Principles of Management" class upon hearing that changing careers might involve taking an internship. "Internship don't pay child support."
That rocks, Bill!
Maybe I should try taking a few classes for a laugh...
Its not just Junior College - I my CMU stats class i heard the following comment just after the prof. told us we would have class on Rosh Hashanna (sp?) since he was Jewish:
"He's Jewish? I thought he was Canadian."
I frequently deal with feelings of insecurity and inadequacy since I have very little ego, so those CCAC classes helped out immensely.
